Fred E. McMichaels is the pen name of Paul E. McMahon. I use a pen name to keep my fiction writing separate from my technical and personal performance writing. I have been an independent performance consultant and coach since 1997.  My current interests include individual, team and system performance with a focus on cybersecurity and resilience.  My clients include the United States Department of Defense (DoD) and numerous US DoD contractors. I have collaborated with the US Defense Acquisition University (DAU) in developing multiple Secure Cyber Resilient Engineering (SCRE) courses to train the US DoD acquisition community in the skills needed to develop next generation cybersecure and cyber-resilient systems.  When I am not coaching teams or collaborating on the development of new courses I enjoy long distance running, golf and writing science fiction stories that conceivably could happen in the not too distant future.  I can be reached at pemcmahon@acm.org.
